These terms are an agreement between you and The Banana Standard LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we,” “us”), for your use of You Don't Know Ball (“YDKB”) at udontknowball.com. By playing, you agree to them.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to use YDKB. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
The game
YDKB is a free NBA trivia and roster-drafting game. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time, and we may limit or end access where needed to operate the service.
Your identity & handle
You can play anonymously or sign in with email. You're responsible for activity under your identity. Your handle must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or infringe others' rights — we may change or remove handles that break this.
Fair play
Play fair. Don't cheat, automate play, exploit bugs, scrape the site, attempt to disrupt or overload it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to harass others or for anything illegal. We may suspend access for abuse.
Ranked play & leaderboards
Ranked matches require a signed-in account and affect a skill rating (ELO). Your handle, rating, and win–loss record may be displayed publicly on leaderboards. Don't manipulate ratings — no boosting, win-trading, deliberate losing, or using multiple accounts to gain an advantage. We may adjust or reset ratings, or remove leaderboard entries, where needed to keep competition fair.
Not affiliated with the NBA
YDKB is an unofficial, fan-made game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by the National Basketball Association (NBA), its teams, or any players. Team names, player names, and statistics are real-world facts used for identification and commentary; all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Ownership
The YDKB game — its code, design, branding, and original content — is owned by The Banana Standard LLC. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to play it. Don't copy, resell, or build a competing service from it.
Provided “as is”
We try to keep YDKB up and accurate, but we provide it “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that game results are perfectly accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Banana Standard LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of YDKB. It's a free game — our total liability to you is limited to USD $100.
Termination
You can stop using YDKB anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll update the date above. Continuing to play means you accept the changes.
